as anyone can see: the website is working again.
sourceforge updated mysql from 3.x to 4.1 and i forgot to move the projects database. but with help from the sourceforge support i managed to recover the oh-so valueable content of this website and everybody is happy again.
i haven't been working on tiAmo in the last few months and university is still keeping me busy. however, i haven't abandoned it totally yet by now.
i'm staying for another six weeks in ghana, where i write a paper on water supply in rural communities. so don't expect any news here at tiAmo before mid of october. so long, rupi
i just released tiAmo 0.2.1. this version fixes some minor bugs and produces now valid xhtml 1.0 code which is UTF-8 encoded. it comes with two additional modules and one new theme. i hope you enjoy it.
i moved the demo to another (faster) server and updated it to the current version:
tiamo.eschelberg.net
after almost 2 months of medium-heavy development i'm now releasing the second subversion of tiAmo. i think this is a good point of time: at the one hand i've worked through all the points of my todo-list and everything seems to be working fine. on the otherhand i took today my last exam in this semester and i'm off for holidays tomorrow.
Although this website might look a little deserted I'm constantly working on tiAmo. progress ain't blazing fast but all things need their time to develop and get developed.
By now I've implemented support for modules with hooks like you know it from drupal. The administration area got a little polish and a new section for the configuration of modules. Furthermore imagemagick is now supported, just in case your webserver doesn't have gd2 installed.
Right now I'm trying to implement the savant template system, which will have the side-effect of saying good bye to xtemplate.
this version fixes some problems with its predecessor.
the main changes i had to make where necessary to get tiAmo running on sourceforge for the demo site. but there are also some improvements on the html-output.
get it here and start playing.
i managed to get a slightly modified version of tiamo-0.1 running here on sourceforge.
enjoy the demo site.
though the mysql server seems to be a little slow, everything is a little lame here. sorry about this.
i'm proud to announce the initial release of tiAmo.
it has only been tested on my own machine yet and i can't recommend its use on a public webserver by now.
furthermore there will be changes on the database layout. this means upcoming versions won't be compatible with the database from version 0.1. so don't start to archive your pictures with tiAmo, unless you urge to do this twice!
tiAmo utilizes ezSQL and PHP XTemplate. it lends some code and ideas from WordPress and Drupal and some ideas from flickr.com
and: by now it only supports jpg.
